The Butcher Block is handcrafted using flattened strips of cured Bamboo bonded together with the highest rated, US laboratory tested and certified, formaldehyde-free adhesive specifically developed for food contact surfaces. This Butcher Block's size, 22 x 16.5, and three built in bowls makes it the perfect kitchen companion. Use it for anything from prepping ingredients to add to a recipe, cutting up a quick snack or assembling kebabs for the BBQ to carving the main dish. The Butcher Block's unique look is created using the end grain or cross-section of the bamboo pole. Small sections of the end grain are set in opposing directions creating the parquet design. Spent a lot of time researching a large bamboo cutting board-and this one is well worth the money. The cease on it is incredible, the three small 'catching' containers are of a small but decent size. Just remember to often mineral oil it in the first few months (especially up here where we have very dry winters)...
